Organizational change management for ERP, AI & digital transformation

Change the system.
Keep your people.

Whether you're moving to S/4HANA, staying on SAP ECC and modernizing around it, or putting AI into everyday work: a practical, people-first approach that turns go-live into real adoption — measured, reinforced, and owned by your organization.

These are two different things. The 30-minute change discussion is free and carries no obligation. The Change Readiness Assessment is a separate, paid advisory engagement, scoped and priced up front.

The context

Go-live is a milestone. Not a finish line.

Many organizations are in the middle of more change at once than ever before. SAP's December 31, 2027 mainstream maintenance milestone has ERP programs moving — whether the answer is S/4HANA, cloud ERP, or staying put on ECC and modernizing around it. At the same time, AI is changing how work gets done, not just which tool is used.

The technical plan for these programs is usually detailed. The people plan often isn't: a few training sessions, an all-hands email, and a hypercare desk. Then the dashboards look green while the shadow spreadsheets quietly come back.

That doesn't mean change has to hurt. When impacts are mapped early, sponsors are visible, managers are equipped and adoption is measured, the performance dip after go-live is shallower and recovery is faster.

Organizations don't change. People do — one role, one team, one habit at a time.

Know who's affected

Every transformation has a people side. Find yours.

Pick the change closest to yours to see who feels it, what tends to go wrong, and what we put in place.

Moving to S/4HANA or cloud ERP

The largest people impact sits outside IT — in finance, supply chain and the plant floor, where daily routines are rebuilt around new processes.

What goes wrong without OCM

  • Workarounds and shadow spreadsheets return
  • Hypercare stretches on for months
  • The benefits case quietly slips

What we put in place

  • Role-by-role impact mapping
  • Process-based, day-in-the-life training
  • Super-user network and cutover comms
  • Adoption tracking through hypercare
Most programs run more than one of these at once.

An S/4HANA move with AI on top and a new support model is three people changes landing on the same teams. We plan them together, so nobody is asked to absorb more than they can at one time.

How we engage

Three ways to work with us

One size does not fit every program. The right level of support depends on the size of the change, not the size of the budget line.

02

Lead the Change

We run the people side, alongside your program.

Embedded change leads working with your PMO and system integrator from design through go-live and hypercare — communications, training, sponsors, network and measurement.

Best for: programs heading into build, test and cutover.

03

Build Capability

Leave a change muscle behind, not a dependency.

Stand up your own Change Center of Excellence — methodology, templates, metrics — and coach your internal practitioners and change champions until they run it themselves.

Best for: organizations facing years of continuous change.

The Change Readiness Assessment

Facts about your people, before go-live tells you.

A paid, fixed-scope advisory engagement, scoped and priced up front. You keep everything it produces — whether or not we do the next step together.

Ask about the Assessment
  • Change impact mapWhat changes, for which roles, and by how much.
  • Readiness by audienceWhere adoption risk sits, group by group.
  • Sponsor health checkWhether leaders are aligned, visible and equipped.
  • Sequenced change planActivities, owners and effort, tied to your timeline.
  • Adoption baselineThe metrics that will prove it worked.
  • Change network designWhere champions and super-users are needed.

What's covered

The people side, covered end to end

Change management built around your program's real milestones — not a separate workstream that reports on itself.

Change impact analysis

A role-by-role view of what changes, for whom, and how much — the foundation for everything else.

Sponsor & leadership alignment

An active, visible sponsor coalition with a clear roadmap of what to say and do, and when.

Communications & engagement

The right message, from the right voice, at the right moment — with two-way channels, not just broadcasts.

Training & enablement

Role-based, process-based learning built on real day-in-the-life scenarios, timed close to go-live.

Change network

Super-users and change champions who carry the change into every team, site and shift.

Resistance management

Surface concerns early, find root causes, and address them — rather than managing symptoms after go-live.

AdoptionAre people using it?Log-ins, transactions and usage by role and site.
UtilizationAs designed?Process compliance, workarounds and exceptions.
ProficiencyAre they good at it?Error rates, cycle times and help-desk volume.
SustainmentIs it sticking? The same measures at 30, 60 and 90 days.

Metrics are agreed with you up front and tracked against your program's own baseline, so success is defined in your numbers — not ours.

Adoption doesn't start at go-live

Prepare → Launch → Sustain

Change management that starts at training starts too late. Ours starts when the design decisions are still being made.

1

PREPARE

Build readiness

  • Define the case for change
  • Map impacts by role and site
  • Align sponsors and leaders
  • Assess readiness and risk
  • Design the change network
2

LAUNCH

Equip and engage

  • Targeted, two-way communications
  • Role-based training and job aids
  • Activate champions and super-users
  • Manager toolkits and cascades
  • Cutover and go-live readiness checks
3

SUSTAIN

Make it stick

  • Track adoption and proficiency
  • Close gaps with targeted coaching
  • Retire the old ways of working
  • Reinforce and recognize progress
  • Hand over to your teams

The path forward

Change is a journey. Not an announcement.

Telling people about a change is the first step, not the last.

Today's way of working→ Aware→ Involved→ Equipped→ Practicing→ Proficient→ The new normal — owned by your teams

Every group moves through these stages at its own pace. We plan for each audience separately, so nobody is told about a change they're already expected to have made — and so the people who need the most support get it first.

Leaders & sponsors

Visible, consistent, and first to model the change.

People managers

The most trusted voice for their teams — equipped to coach, not just cascade.

Key users & champions

Early, deep involvement so they can support their peers.

Front-line teams

Clear "what changes for me", training at the right time, and help on day one.

The WorldITCOE family

Technology is half the transformation. People are the other half.

Our sister Centers of Excellence take care of the platform and the data. The Change Management Center of Excellence makes sure the people who rely on them are ready, willing and able — so the investment actually pays back.

Start here

Tell us what's changing — and who it changes for.

A free 30-minute change discussion — no obligation and no pressure toward a particular engagement. It is not the paid Change Readiness Assessment; if the Assessment turns out to be the right next step, we'll say so on the call.

  • An early read on where adoption risk is likely to sit
  • The two or three audiences to prioritize first
  • A straight answer on whether you need an assessment, a program — or neither
  • No obligation, and no pitch deck
